2009 Ends with Concrete Being Poured

Finally some forward moving construction. I saw concrete being poured this morning. One Corner of the building has foundation walls being poured. Yeeha! Moving forward.

Talked to Doug from Opechee today. He shared the structural plans with me.

It's starting to make sense. I see how the Valet parking is going to work now. This wil be such a nice benefit to our guests!

You heard it here first. Hanover's newest community member has a new name. No more "Hotel in Hanover or New Hotel"

This 69 room Boutique Hotel has been born.

Located on Six South Street, it is a perfect location for Dartmouth guests. Being downtown, our guests can walk to Murph's, The Canoe Room and The Dirty Cow.

Meet the Man in Charge

Jason Masse is the man in charge at the Six South Street Hotel. Jason is with Opechee Construction. http://www.opechee.com/

He sends regular emails to our South Street neighbors each week. Our goal is to keep everyone informed of the project and try not to inconvenience folks too much. Stop by and say Hi to Jason. His bark is worse than his bite.

The site is so small, Jason must use his truck as his office. Only one visitor at a time, please.

What's in a Name?

You'd think we would have a name by now.....

When I visit with people in town, that is the number one question I get. "What will be the name of the new hotel?" I bet Nigel, at Murph's, has asked me no less than 5 times.

Rest assured, we will have a name soon. We want a name that will fit well with the community, be fair to our neighbors, and be a bit cool. Keep checking back to find out more.
